Hearts’ Home offers a variety of maintenance and repair jobs performed in-house. Don’t see what you need listed or not sure what you need? Give us a call or bring the instrument by for our opinion and a quote!  Any work not specified below is subject to our bench rate of $40/hour, 1 hour minimum.  Ask us for an estimate!

Pricing does not include the cost of materials

General Maintenance

  • Basic Restring — $15
    • New string install (strings sold separately) +$5 for 12 string guitars
  • Deluxe Restring — $25
    • New string install (strings sold separately), clean and polish frets, bridge, and entire instrument, clean and condition fretboard.
  • Setup — $45
    • New string install (strings sold separately), adjust neck relief and action, set intonation (electric guitar).
  • Deluxe Setup — $55
    • New string install (strings sold separately), clean and polish frets, bridge, and entire instrument, clean and condition fretboard, adjust neck relief and action, set intonation (electric guitar).

Fretwork

  • Fret Dress — $100
    • Includes level, crown, and polish.
  • Fret Ends - $50
    • File and round off fret ends.
  • Refret - $10 per fret
    • Depending on how many frets your instrument needs replaced, a fret dress may also be required

Nut & Saddle

  • Cut & Install Nut - $50
    • $65 for more than 6 strings
  • Fit & Install Prefabricated Nut - $30
  • Cut & Install Saddle - $60
  • Fit & Install Prefabricated Saddle - $30

Electronics

  • Acoustic Guitar Pickup Installation— $50
  • Electric/Bass Guitar Pickup Installation:
    • $50 for 1*
    • $60 for 2*
    • $70 for 3*

Miscellany

    • Strap Button Installation - $10 per button
    • Tuner Installation — $40

 

*If installing your pickup requires modification to the instrument (e.g. routing of the body or pickguard), our bench rate will be applied.
