The 1444 was the first 4-string bass offered by Sears and was the longest running member of the 4-member Silvertone bass family. The 1960s Silvertone Model 1444 Bass was one of the most popular budget 4-strings of its era. It earned the nicknamed "Dolphin Nose" for its trademark drooping minimalist headstock. The Silvertone Model 1444 Model Electric Bass Guitar has black lacquer finish, masonite and pine body, poplar neck with a rosewood fingerboard.  This bass produces a fat, full sound that is perfect for the player looking for that unique sound from the past.
