Description

Designing the body of an acoustic bass guitar is a difficult task because the requirements for a good bass sound differ considerably from what is needed to make a regular acoustic guitar sound good. The volume of the body is the most important factor for achieving a strong bass sound, but we have gone much further in the design of our acoustic-electric bass guitars. We have developed a proprietary bracing system, tuned the soundboard, and used a new philosophy for selecting tonewoods. Another element that is instrumental in achieving the typical sound of Furch basses is the size and placement of the soundhole. Our acoustic-electric bass guitars deliver a deep and balanced sound across the entire tonal spectrum in all playing situations.
