Ayers Guitars is a premium handmade acoustic guitar brand founded in 1996 by Huang Zhenfa (Mr. Huang) in Bien Hoa City, Vietnam, though its origins trace back to 1989 with an initial factory in Ho Chi Minh City focused on OEM production under the “Emotion” name.  Inspired by iconic musicians like the Beatles and Eagles, as well as Australia’s Uluru (Ayers Rock) for its symbolism of resilience and stability, the company aims to make high-quality, accessible instruments.  Ayers collaborates with renowned luthiers, including Australian Gerard Gilet (who designed early series) and others from Taylor, Lakewood, and Lowden, to refine designs, materials, and techniques.  All guitars are fully handmade without CNC machinery, using sustainable woods, traditional dovetail joints, and innovations like the SUNWAVE sound system and customizable Awesome string pins for enhanced tone and dynamics.  The brand, which also produces ukuleles and classical guitars, operates from Vietnam, employs artisans with over a decade of experience, and actively promotes music culture through festivals and competitions.
