The Gold Tone CEB-5 is a five-string banjo that was created by Gold Tone president Wayne Rogers after the success of the Gold Tone CEB-4 Cello-Banjo. With a fourteen-inch pot, it boasts the largest banjo pot in production today by any maker. Equipped with custom-designed high-tension wound nylon strings on a custom bridge and a custom Remo Renaissance head, the CEB-5 produces a gut-rumbling lowdown banjo sound. Tuned a full octave below any of the standard five-string banjo's many tunings, the CEB-5 is perfect for adding a bass feel to Old Time ensembles, playing Scruggs-style three-finger rolls for an added dimension to Bluegrass or Newgrass styles, or playing clawhammer-style for huge fun. The Canadian maple neck is finished in rich sunburst, while the tastefully-bound peghead and ebony fretboard, as well as the heel cap, are fully bound. The CEB-5 also comes with a hard shell case.
