This Koa wood is from the Big Island of Hawaii and has a magnificent coloring of gold and reddish browns. It is laminated over mahogany wood and has real abalone shell inlayed around the top and soundhole. As you can hear, the tone on this tenor ukulele is superb! Very clean and balanced. Bright and still warm. AND with our setup it plays very smooth and easy without buzz. All around an Awesome Deal.
