Gibson L7-CN (1951)

Often dubbed "The Working Man's L5", the L7 is essentially a cosmetically stripped down version of it's big brother. With a 17" body, carved spruce top, carved two piece maple back/sides, and in this case a cutaway, it's easy to understand why so many professionals chose the L7 over the more costly L5.  The example featured here is in remarkable condition overall with some nicks and dings present that are often associated with an instrument of this age.  The spruce top has no cracks and the two piece back has only one tiny repaired crack that is perfectly stable.  There is also a very small bulging of the rib near the tailpiece.  The original tailpiece has seen better days, but is structurally sound.  The tuners have been replaced with correct newer Klusons and the pickgaurd has been replaced with a correct replica.  The guitar also comes with a verynice, well fitting hardshell case.  One more thing to mention is that this L7 was formerly owned by a famous musician.  We'd be happy to tell you more about this if you are interested.
